A downloadable environment

This video is a walkthrough for a virtual environment that I created for the UniSC course SGD230 Game Art: Virtual Environments, which required students to produce an environment map; design a library of assets to be used within the environment; design and develop terrain and assets for use within the environment; and finally create a compilation of the library of assets within the virtual environment.

My virtual environment is an overgrown forest or jungle that also features non-organic man-made objects and structures, which have become overgrown with organic growth over time. I've also tried to create an interesting juxtaposition by using scale to present the organic and other natural elements within my environment on a larger scale, whereas the non-organic objects and structures are the same scale as the player, implying that the custodians of these man-made remnants are a similar size.

Although I really enjoyed creating this I did experience a few issues along the way that hampered my ability to make my environment exactly how I had initially envisioned it - but the lessons that I learnt whilst working through these issues resulted in an excellent learning experience!
